About the Owner

 

J Spivey Photography is committed to the highest quality of photography and design. Owner, Justin Spivey has over 25 years of experience working behind a camera. He obtained a degree from the Ohio Institute of Photography in Commercial Photography & Graphic Design, which he achieved in 2000. Justin started his professional career using film cameras, and later made the move to digital cameras as the technology changed. His background and history in photography gives him a clear edge in today’s photography market.

Justin has served on the Board of Adviser’s at Brightwood Collage, Photography Department. He works actively in the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce where is was named the 2018 Ambassador of the Year. He serves on the Vandalia Arts Council, which helps to oversee art projects and grants for local art. Justin is an active member of the Vandalia-Butler Optimist Club where he served as president 2021-2023. He is a trustee to the Vandalia-Butler Foundation. He is a advisor to the commercial photography program at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center. Justin has also advised small group forums to the City of Vandalia over downtown growth and visual stimulus for the community and advised for school levy promotions.
